Chette Williams, Auburn University's longtime football team chaplain, died after drowning in Lake Martin on Sunday. Williams, 61, served as chaplain since 1999 and was known for his spiritual guidance to athletes. He was attempting to leave his boat near a dock when he fell into the water and could not resurface. The incident is under investigation. Senator Tommy Tuberville praised him as a "remarkable man."
