A study by the American Sunlight Project reveals that over 25 women members of Congress have been targeted by sexually explicit deepfakes, with over 35,000 mentions of their nonconsensual intimate imagery found online. Women were found to be 70 times more likely to be targeted than men, highlighting the growing risks for women's participation in politics.
