India's government has allocated Rs 71,889 crore to states for fiscal year 2024-25, based on recommendations from the 15th Finance Commission. Allocations include Rs 18,362 crore for post-devolution revenue deficit grants, Rs 6,845 crore for urban local bodies, Rs 20,847 crore for rural local bodies, and Rs 2,894 crore for health sector grants. Additional funds support disaster response and mitigation initiatives.
