Elephant attacks in India have killed several people, highlighting conflicts worsened by habitat loss.

Multiple elephant attacks in India have resulted in several deaths and injuries. In Odisha, a man and two children were killed, and a forest worker was injured when elephants invaded villages and crop fields. Over the past three years, Odisha has seen 668 human deaths and 509 injuries due to such conflicts. Assam, with one of the highest elephant populations in India, reports 313 human deaths over five years, blaming habitat loss and deforestation for increasing conflicts.
