China's Three Gorges Dam has produced over 1.7 trillion kWh, saving coal and cutting CO2 emissions.

The Three Gorges project in China, the world's largest hydropower project, has generated over 1.7 trillion kWh of electricity in its 30-year history. This milestone equates to saving 550 million tonnes of coal and reducing 1.49 billion tonnes of CO2 emissions. The project has intercepted floods nearly 70 times and improved Yangtze River navigation, enhancing economic benefits and environmental conditions.
