The New York Yankees have acquired Milwaukee Brewers closer Devin Williams, a two-time All-Star, in exchange for pitcher Nestor Cortes and infield prospect Caleb Durbin. Williams, known for his 1.83 career ERA and 68 saves, struggled with injuries in 2024. The Yankees will also pay $2 million to the Brewers as part of the trade. Cortes had a 3.77 ERA in 31 games for the Yankees last season, while Durbin hit .287 with 10 home runs and 29 stolen bases at Triple-A.
