Vermont police officer shot while responding to domestic violence call; suspect at large.

A Vermont State Police officer was shot and injured on Friday afternoon while responding to a domestic violence call in St. Johnsbury. The suspect, 38-year-old Scott Mason, is considered armed and dangerous. The injured officer, Captain Dale Jason Gray, was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. His condition is stable but the extent of his injuries is not yet known. Authorities are urging the public to report any sightings of Mason to 911.
