Tripura's Chief Minister highlights state initiatives aiding 4.73 lakh rural women in self-help groups.

Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the state's efforts to boost rural women's economic self-reliance during the 19th Regional SARAS Fair. Approximately 4.73 lakh rural women are part of 52,000 Self-Help Groups, which have received Rs 1,414 crore in bank loans. The government has allocated Rs 70 crore as a revolving fund and Rs 626 crore for community investment. Two local products, Matabari 'Peda' and 'Risha' attire, have received Geographical Indication registration.
