Swiss skier Marco Odermatt won the World Cup giant slalom in Val d'Isere, France, his first victory in the discipline this season. Odermatt overcame challenging weather conditions to claim his 24th World Cup win, moving him to second in the overall standings. Austrian skiers Patrick Feurstein and Stefan Brennsteiner finished second and third, respectively, with Norwegian skier Henrik Kristoffersen in fifth.
