Senco Gold raised Rs 459 crore in a Qualified Institutions Placement to fund expansion plans.

Kolkata-based jewellery retailer Senco Gold Ltd. raised Rs 459 crore via a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP), issuing 40.8 lakh equity shares at Rs 1,125 each. This increased the company’s paid-up equity share capital to Rs 81.80 crore. Major investors included Tata AIA Life Insurance Co. funds, acquiring 14.49% of the issue. The funds will support the company's expansion, with plans to open 18-20 new stores annually.
