Pahokee woman, breast cancer survivor, loses home and supplies in RV park fire, now sheltering in a tent.

Jeanette Fernandez, a Pahokee woman and breast cancer survivor, lost her mobile home and possessions, including medical supplies, in a fire at Pahokee Beach RV Resort. She now lives in a tent and car. Community support, including donations and assistance from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue District Chief Geraldine Jaramillo, has helped provide Fernandez with clothes, food, and other essentials. The Retired Firefighters of Palm Beach County also donated $500 to assist her surviving cats.
