A long-closed Shiv temple in India is reopened after an inspection, following local religious disputes.
A Shiv temple in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, closed since 1978, has been reopened after being discovered during an anti-encroachment and power theft inspection. The temple was encroached upon by residents and fell into disrepair. Its reopening follows recent disputes over a nearby mosque, including violent clashes between locals and police. A well was also discovered near the temple after removing a ramp.
