The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in India has restored assets worth ₹4,025 crore to JSW Steel after Supreme Court approval.
These assets were previously attached under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) following an investigation into alleged bank loan fraud by Bhushan Steel and Power Limited.
JSW Steel took over the assets through the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) process.
The Supreme Court approved the restitution under Section 8(8) of the PMLA and Rule 3A of the PMLA Restoration of Property Rules.
