Former NFL quarterback Carson Palmer has been named head coach at his alma mater, Santa Margarita High School. Palmer, who won back-to-back CIF Southern Section titles as a player in the late 1990s, later won the Heisman Trophy at USC and played 15 NFL seasons with the Bengals, Raiders, and Cardinals before retiring in 2018. His son, Fletch, is a quarterback at the school.
