Mary Bloom Hyman, a former Loyola University Maryland faculty member, left a $16 million legacy benefiting multiple Baltimore institutions, including museums, colleges, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Her donation to Loyola makes her the university's largest benefactor. Hyman supported various programs, notably the BSO’s OrchKids, which provides musical education for city children.
