Sofronio Vasquez, a 32-year-old Filipino singer based in Utica, New York, won "The Voice" Season 26, becoming the first Asian and Filipino contestant to win the show. He received a $100,000 prize and a record deal with Universal Music Group. Vasquez, coached by Michael Bublé, credits his success to overcoming rejections from other singing competitions and the support of his family, especially his late father, who was his initial music coach.
