Convicted murderer James Meehan escapes from prison in Northern Ireland, sparking a police search.
James Meehan, a 55-year-old convicted murderer serving a life sentence since 2009, has escaped from HMP Magilligan in Northern Ireland after day release. Meehan was convicted for the 2007 murder of James McFadden. Police are searching for him and urge the public to provide any information on his whereabouts to 101 or Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111, without approaching him directly. Authorities also appealed to Meehan to turn himself in.
