The Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances in Bangladesh has accused former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and high-ranking officials of involvement in over 3,500 enforced disappearances. The commission recorded 1,676 cases and recommends disbanding the Rapid Action Battalion due to its role in human rights abuses. The investigation is expected to continue for at least another year.
