A 70-year-old man was found dead at his home in Ireland after an alleged assault; a younger man was arrested.

A 70-year-old man was found dead at his home in Tobersool, near Balbriggan, Co Dublin, after what appears to be an assault. A younger man in his 20s, known to the victim, was arrested at the scene. The State Pathologist will conduct a post-mortem, and the Garda Technical Bureau is examining the scene. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and any video footage from the area between 10pm and 11:20pm on Thursday.
