Three nations form a joint venture to develop a next-gen supersonic fighter jet by 2035.

The UK, Italy, and Japan have formed a joint venture to develop a next-generation supersonic fighter jet by 2035, aiming to replace the Eurofighter Typhoon. BAE Systems, Leonardo, and Japan Aircraft Industrial Enhancement Co Ltd will each hold a 33.3% stake in the project, known as the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). The venture aims to create a sixth-generation stealth fighter with advanced technology, including virtual reality cockpits, and will operate in all partner nations.
