Presidents of DRC and Rwanda meet in Angola to discuss peace amid eastern DRC violence.

The presidents of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda are set to meet in Angola on August 15th to discuss peace in eastern DRC, where violence has surged. Mediated by Angola's President, the talks aim to address Rwanda's support for the M23 rebels and the DRC's need to neutralize the FDLR militia. Though a fragile truce was previously established, clashes have continued, and the outcome of these negotiations remains uncertain.
