Kentucky's governor announces paid leave for state workers for new parents and health issues.

Kentucky's Governor Andy Beshear announced a plan to provide up to six weeks of paid leave for Executive Branch state employees who have a new child or are dealing with serious health conditions. The leave can be taken at three points in their career: between years one to ten, years ten to twenty, and after twenty years. The new benefit, expected to be available by summer 2025, aims to support families and improve health outcomes for new parents and infants.
