India deploys AI-equipped 'Rajmarg Saathi' vehicles to monitor and maintain national highways.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is enhancing highway safety and maintenance with new Route Patrolling Vehicles (RPVs) called 'Rajmarg Saathi.'
These vehicles use AI-enabled dashboard cameras to identify road issues like cracks and potholes, and collect data weekly for efficient road upkeep via the NHAI One app.
The RPVs will be replaced every 300,000 km or three years, improving traffic flow and user experience.
