The Clark County School Board has approved a compliance monitor, Yolanda King from King Strategies LLC, to assist with financial issues after discovering an $10 million budget shortfall. The district will use $9.9 million from its reserves to balance the budget, which was initially projected to have a deficit. The state-appointed monitor will produce monthly reports and a corrective action plan by December 27th.
