Two men plead not guilty to aiding Hong Kong's intelligence in the UK between 2023 and 2024.
Two men, Chung Biu Yuen and Chi Leung Peter Wai, have pleaded not guilty to charges of violating Britain's National Security Act by assisting Hong Kong's intelligence service in the UK. They are accused of gathering information and conducting surveillance between December 2023 and May 2024. Wai also faces a misconduct charge for his actions as a UK Border Force officer. The trial is set for March 10, 2025, in London's Central Criminal Court. A third suspect, Matthew Trickett, was found dead in May, and his case was discontinued.
