Over 129,000 Boko Haram members and their families surrendered to Nigerian forces this year.
From July 10 to December 9, 2024, 129,417 Boko Haram terrorists and their family members surrendered to Nigerian security forces, according to General Christopher Musa.
The group included 30,426 fighters, 36,774 women, and 62,265 children.
General Musa credited the surge in surrenders to the military's combined kinetic and non-kinetic strategies, which have helped stabilize communities and foster economic growth.
