North Dakota's Governor-elect Kelly Armstrong has appointed Dirk Wilke as the interim head of the Department of Health and Human Services. Wilke, currently the executive director of public health, will lead the department during the transition. Known for his public health experience and commitment to improving quality of life in North Dakota, Wilke succeeds Wayne Salter. Wilke holds a law degree, an MBA, and a bachelor's in communications.
