Nigeria reports a 50% jump in oil production to 1.84 million barrels per day, citing reduced theft.

Nigerian Joint Task Force reports a rise in oil production from 1.2 million barrels per day in January to 1.84 million barrels per day, attributing the increase to efforts against oil theft. The task force has reduced crude oil theft by 85% and terminated 95% of breaches on major pipelines in the last three months. Operations also led to the recovery of 15.6 million liters of stolen oil and the apprehension of over 1,200 suspects. These efforts aim to help Nigeria reach its 2.2 million barrels per day target.
