Udengs Eradiri, the Labour Party's governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, and his running mate, Commodore Benjamin Nathus, have resigned from the party, citing the need for a platform better suited to provide leadership for the state. Most local government chairmen of the Labour Party in Bayelsa have also left. Eradiri and Nathus are consulting stakeholders to decide on their next political move.
