Ireland deploys new speed cameras on Friday, with fines up to €160 for exceeding 100km/h.

Two new static speed safety cameras will go live on Friday, December 13, 2024, in Mayo and Galway, Ireland. The cameras are placed on the N17 near Claremorris and on the N59 between Galway City and Moycullen. Drivers exceeding the 100km/h speed limit will face a Fixed Charge Notice, resulting in a €160 fine and 3 penalty points.
