India cuts steel for second naval support ship, boosting 'Blue Water' navy capabilities.

The Indian Navy held a steel-cutting ceremony for the second of five Fleet Support Ships (FSS) under construction at Larsen and Toubro's Kattupalli shipyard. Each 40,000-ton ship will support naval operations, enhance 'Blue Water' capabilities, and aid in humanitarian missions. The project, contracted to Hindustan Shipyard Limited, aligns with India's self-reliance goals and is set for delivery starting mid-2027.
