Boston Medical Center has launched a pilot program called the Clean Power Prescription to help patients with chronic illnesses pay their utility bills. The program uses energy from 519 solar panels on the hospital's building, providing a monthly credit of about $50 to around 80 patients. The project, costing $1.6 million and funded by the Inflation Reduction Act, aims to assist more patients by seeking additional partners for expansion.
