Nintendo completes acquisition of game studio Monolith Soft, known for Xenoblade Chronicles.

Nintendo has completed its acquisition of Monolith Soft, a Japanese developer known for games like Xenoblade Chronicles and contributions to titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo now owns the company outright, having previously acquired a majority stake in 2007. Monolith Soft is currently working on a remastered version of Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Nintendo Switch, set to release in March 2025.
