Nigeria's Anambra State will pay medical costs for businessman hurt by contractors demanding fees.
The Anambra State government in Nigeria will cover the medical expenses of Okechukwu Akaneme, a businessman severely injured in an attack by waste management contractors demanding unpaid fees. Akaneme suffered spinal injuries and is receiving treatment. The state suspended the contractors, and police are investigating. The state governor, Chukwuma Soludo, ordered the expenses be covered following public outcry.
