Japan vows continued support and investment in Bangladesh amid recent political unrest.

Outgoing Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Iwama Kiminori, stated that Japan will continue supporting Bangladesh's reform efforts, maintaining investments despite the July-August mass uprising. Kiminori highlighted Japan’s commitment to peace, economic cooperation, and human interactions in their relationship. Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus thanked Kiminori and called for increased Japanese investment, noting Japan’s companies have not withdrawn from Bangladesh.
