ERC approves a P2.59B substation project in Capas, Tarlac, to meet rising power demands.

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has approved a P2.59-billion project by National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) to build a 230-kilovolt substation in Capas, Tarlac. This project aims to manage increasing power demand due to new connections, including Shin Clark Power Corp., and support New Clark City's integration into the Luzon grid. Additionally, the ERC approved a P20.65-billion transmission line project connecting La Union and Ilocos Norte, part of NGCP's larger infrastructure expansion plan worth over P600 billion.
