ADB raises Vietnam's growth forecasts but lowers outlook for developing Asia amid U.S. policy uncertainty.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has raised Vietnam's economic growth forecasts for 2024 and 2025 to 6.4% and 6.6%, respectively, citing stronger trade and fiscal stimulus. However, the ADB has lowered its growth outlook for developing Asia to 4.9% and 4.8% for the same years, due to potential impacts from U.S. policy changes under President-elect Trump. The bank also revised down inflation forecasts to 2.7% and 2.6% for 2024 and 2025, respectively, due to softer global commodity prices.
