A 12-year-old with cerebral palsy receives €1.5M interim settlement from Irish HSE over birth care.

A 12-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, James Prior, has received a €1.5 million interim settlement from the Health Service Executive (HSE) in Ireland. The settlement stems from a High Court action alleging that the care James received after his 2012 birth at Mullingar Regional Hospital caused his condition. The case will be reassessed in five-and-a-half years to evaluate future care and loss of earnings.
