Water main break in Wilkes-Barre causes flooding, closes part of Public Square.

A large water main break at Public Square and West Market Street in Wilkes-Barre has caused significant flooding, closing half of Public Square to traffic. Pennsylvania American Water has slowed the leak, but the full extent of damage and affected customers is still unknown. UGI is assessing natural gas lines, and authorities have advised residents to avoid the area until repairs are completed.
