Starbucks has named Tony Yang as its first Chief Growth Officer in China, aiming to boost its presence in the competitive market. Yang, formerly with digital marketing firm Tezign, takes on the role as Starbucks faces challenges from local competitors like Luckin and Manner, which have led to a 14% drop in comparable store sales. With over 7,500 stores, China is Starbucks' second-largest market after the US.
