Pepco Group, owner of Poundland, reported a €662 million loss but saw revenue rise to €6.2 billion.

Pepco Group, which owns UK discount retailer Poundland, reported a net loss of €662 million in 2024, largely due to a €775 million impairment charge due to Poundland's weak performance. Despite this, the group's underlying earnings (EBITDA) rose 25% to €944 million, and revenue hit a record €6.2 billion, up 10.2%, driven by the opening of 392 new stores. Poundland's like-for-like sales fell 3.6% amid rising costs and increased competition.
