Michigan couple sentenced for unsafe gun storage after their grandson was accidentally shot by his cousin.

A 65-year-old Michigan woman, Theresa Robart, was sentenced to one year in jail and two years of probation for second-degree child abuse after her 5-year-old grandson was accidentally shot by his 6-year-old cousin. The gun was found behind a door at her home. Her husband, Karl Robart, received a harsher sentence of 38 months to 15 years for violating the state's safe gun storage law. This case was one of the first prosecuted under Michigan's new safe storage laws.
