China’s advanced Long March-8A rocket heads to launch site for its debut in January 2025.

China's Long March-8A rocket, designed for medium- and low-Earth orbit missions, is scheduled for its first flight in January 2025. Developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, the Long March-8A is an advanced, cost-effective, and reliable upgrade of the Long March-8 rocket, aimed at launching large-scale constellation networks. It has completed 44 major ground tests and is en route to the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province.
