Channel 4's chairman Ian Cheshire will step down at the end of his term in April 2025.

Ian Cheshire, Channel 4's chairman since April 2022, will step down at the end of his three-year term. Cheshire led the broadcaster's digital expansion, securing its public ownership and transforming it into a leading public service streamer. Ofcom will recruit his successor, with approval from Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, to lead the channel until April 2028.
