UK appoints Dame Margaret Hodge as Anti-Corruption Champion, with £36M to fight corruption.

The UK has appointed Dame Margaret Hodge as its new Anti-Corruption Champion. Hodge, a former Labour MP and longtime anti-corruption advocate, will work with Parliament, the private sector, and civil society to combat corruption and organized crime. The Foreign Office will also provide up to £36 million over five years to support the National Crime Agency's International Corruption Unit.
