A report reveals that 97% of female triathletes face deterrents or inequities, with harassment affecting 28%.

A recent report by SheRACES and Fund Her Tri UK highlights that only 3% of female triathletes experience no deterrents or inequitable provisions in triathlons. Common issues include inadequate facilities, unequal coverage, and harassment, with 28% of respondents experiencing physical or verbal harassment. The report, based on a survey of over 900 athletes, shows that 84% would prefer races with better provisions for women. SheRACES has proposed recommendations for more inclusive events, and British Triathlon is implementing changes, including a revised pregnancy deferral policy.
