A new clinical trial in New Zealand aims to improve diagnosis and treatment of lobular breast cancer, the second most common type, using a new technology. Funded by the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, it involves 50 patients receiving PET-CT scans with a radiotracer called FAPI to more accurately detect the size and spread of cancer. This could potentially transform how this often-late-diagnosed cancer is treated.
