Airtel's AI system identified and mitigated billions of spam calls and texts, reducing user engagement with spam.

Bharti Airtel's new AI-powered spam solution flagged 8 billion spam calls and 800 million spam texts in just two and a half months. The system identifies nearly 1 million spammers daily, with 6% of calls and 2% of SMSes classified as spam. Male customers aged 36-60 in Delhi are primary targets, with spam calls peaking between noon and 3 pm and dropping 40% on Sundays. Airtel reports a 12% decline in users answering spam calls.
