AI reveals 15% of Cambodia's population and 16% of its farmland at risk from flooding by 2050.

A new AI and geospatial data report shows that 15% of Cambodia's population and 16% of its agricultural land are at risk of flooding, with potential GDP losses of 3% to 9.4% by 2050 due to climate change. The report, released by the National Committee for Disaster Management and the UN World Food Programme, marks the first use of AI for disaster risk assessment in Cambodia. Over the past 20 years, floods and droughts have caused average annual losses of $148 million.
