The U.S. Forest Service announces a tree removal project in Methow Valley, affecting local snowmobile routes.

The U.S. Forest Service is notifying winter recreationists about a commercial tree removal project in the Methow Valley's Eight Mile Drainage. This project will impact snowmobile routes on Buck Lake, Eightmile, Falls Creek, and Lamb Butte roads with tree felling, skidding, processing, and log truck traffic. A temporary parking area is set up near Nice Campground, and Eight Mile Sno-Park remains available for access to the west and east Chewuch groomed routes.
